Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park This infamous tourist attraction is located about 30 miles from our hotel. There are multiple opportunities to hike and go out on a tour of the Kilauea Crater, visit the meseums, explore the visitors center and other recreational activities.
Hapuna Beach Park Looking for the white sand beach of paradise? Travel to the other side of the island (Kailua-Kona) and experience one of the top visited beaches in the world, Hapuna Beach Park. Experience your expectation of a white sand beach and a blue ocean to swim in.
Mauna Kea Grab the opportunity to visit Mauna Kea. Experience Mauna Kea at night with a stargaze show at the visitor's center. If you have four wheel drive, go further up the mountain and visit the observatory center.
Kahalu'u Beach Park Want to go snorkeling? Travel to Kailua-Kona to Kahalu'u Beach Park to see the fishes and species of the sea. This is a great place for snorkeling and relaxing on the strip of Ali'i Drive.
Akaka Falls Located outside of Hilo, you can experience the natural habitat of the Big Island plants around Akaka Falls and hike around the trail provided.
Makalawena Just on the West side of the Big Island, grab a 4 wheeler and trek it down the lava bumpy trail to get to Makalawena Beach for the day.
Rainbow Falls This waterfall is locate just on the skirts of downtown Hilo just before the hospital. This a convenient place to see if you don't feel like traveling far also just a street up is boiling pots a popuar place to swim and hike.
Kua Bay Beach Park The beach park is also located on the West side of the Big Island just 20 minutes from Kailua-Kona Airport, bring your boogie board down whindy road to white sands and great waves to surf.
Botanical Gardens Take a tour of our tropical garden of beautiful endangered plants and species.
Papakōlea Green Sands Beach Want to experience a unique beach trip? All you have to do is hike about 2 miles to green sands beach, literally green sands.
Waipio Valley Want more adrenaline pumping trips? Hike to Waipio Valley and get to the Waterfall and go swimming.
Punalu'u Beach Experience a black sand beach, south of the island at Punalu'u Beach, then checkout the Punalu'u bakery for fresh sweet bread!
Reeds Bay Beach Park Don't have transportation? Don't worry, next door is our Reeds Bay Beach Park that has been newly renovated. Enjoy the water from the hot days to come!
Pacific Tsunami Museum Located in Downtown Hilo, the tsunami museum is a great place to know a little bit of Hilo's history. Come and get to know the hours of the tsunami that took out Banyan Drive.
4 Miles (Keaukaha) Check out the beach parks near us. Drive or walk Keaukaha strip and checkout the beaches along the coastline. See large turtles at Carl Smith Beach Park.
Lyman Museum Check out an exhibit about Hawai'i based natural history from the collections of historical artifacts as well as the Lyman mission founders home that is connected to the museum for viewing during their tour.
Honoli'i Beach Just a little outside of Hilo, you can surf the waves of Hilo with other surfers and collect seaglass at Honoli'i Beach.
Mokupapapa Discovery Center Want to learn about ocean life? Check out this discovery center of the Marine life across the hawaiian islands.
Coconut Island Just next to Liliuokalani Gardens is Coconut Island. Enjoy a morning walk at coconut island and watch the sunrise. Enjoy some sports games or relaxation on the grass. If you want more excitement jump off the tower into the cool waters of the bay.
Hilo Farmer's Market Located in the heart of downtown Hilo, you will find our most popular place to go, Hilo Farmer's Market, where you will find homegrown produce, handmade crafts and jewelry, and various of other activities and cultural booths. Regular market days are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Liliuokalani Gardens Just walking distance from our hotel, experience the Japanese style garden/ park of Liliuokalani Gardens. You have the opportunity to lunch under the trees of the garden, or walk around the paths for exercise, go fishing, or enjoy the view of Hilo!
